4th of July Celebration

For 4th of July our cousins from Oklahoma came to visit us. It was the McBride family and they stayed with uncle Paul and Auntie Tesa. Which basically meant everyone one else was living there too while they were in town. The boys were so exhausted by the time they left. They were staying up really late and waking up early. Only a couple days would they sleep in. We had a ton of fun with the relatives and 4th of July was a blast. We BBQ at Uncle Paul's house for lunch and dinner and than it was fireworks time! Uncle Paul ended up spending $400 on fireworks and Daddy spent about $100 too! It was a great show and the kids loved it! They also got to do sparklers before the "older" kids did the big fireworks. Below are some picture from the weekend. Thanks McBride family for all the fun we had with you! We hope to see you again soon, otherwise next year for Thanksgiving!

Marisa's 2 Month Check Up

Marisa had her 2 month check up this morning! Finally we got to see how big she has grown and boy did she grow a lot! Her height was 23 1/4 inches (95th percentile - I think that is what Dr. Siefferman said). I do know he said that puts in the giants for girls! :) Weight was 13.7 pounds (90th percentile). and Head circumference was 16 inches (96th percentile). she has a big head like her oldest brother Jon! :) She got 3 shots today and the Rotovirus liquid. I wasn't too sure about the Rotovirus one but after talking to Dr. Seifferman he strongly advised to give it to her so I said OK.

I am still working on getting the 4th of July pictures together and they should be up later today, so stay tuned! I have a lot of them! :) Hope you all have been enjoying the hot weather!

This Morning With Daddy

This morning I got Marisa out of her crib and gave her to Daddy. She was totally smiling at him! I had to take pictures of the two of them. Too cute!

8 Weeks

Marisa turned 8 weeks yesterday! Here are some pictures we took of her on Thursday. She was all smiles! You can even see her ears in some of the pictures with her earrings. She is doing so well. She has been sleeping really good at night. Last night she went 7 hours and last Monday she even went 8 hours! Pretty soon she will be sleeping through the night! Even though she really only gets up 2 times to eat, it isn't as bad as the boys were!

Our relatives from Oklahoma came int town for 4th of July so stayed tuned for pictures from our celebration! I have a lot of pictures to go through! But enjoy these for now! My little girl is getting SO big!

Marisa Got Her Ears Pierced!

I dropped off Marisa & Jon this afternoon at the clinic because Nicholas had a dentist appointment. When he was done we ate lunch at the clinic and hung out for a little bit. My parents were talking about having a set of earrings to pierce Marisa's ears and I said we should do it now. So we got her ready. It was actually difficult to see her cry so hard but we all went through it when we were babies. She looks so cute in her white gold earring! I love it! Below are some pictures that Auntie Missy took with her LG Chocolate phone. I didn't bring my camera because I didn't know we were actually going to do it today! I will take more picture of her tomorrow after she heals a little bit so you can see her ears better.

Hanging out in one of the exam rooms

Marking her ears for the earrings

Checking to see if the holes were even. It was funny because I couldn't see them at the same time because her cheeks we so big so Marie squeezed her cheeks together! :)

Lolo doing the first ear

Calming her down after the first hole

Can you see her ear?!

Doing her second ear. She wasn't very happy :(

She was SO mad! Look at how red her face got.

Minnesota Zoo

Yesterday I took the kids to the Minnesota Zoo. I had planned on taking them for awhile but did not want to take them myself so I had asked our neighbor, Anna (she is 10), to come with us so she could help watch the boys. Every time we had set up a date she ended up getting invited to a birthday party. So I just decided I was going to take them myself. It wasn't that bad besides the usual meltdowns and there wasn't a lot really. Both the boys did pretty good. I usually take them there for a couple hours but we ended up staying for 5 hours! They enjoyed the new exhibit Russia's Grizzly Coast and especially loved the new water feature! Next time I told them they can were their swim trunks and that we will bring a towel! We got to see the Bird Show and spent most of the time outside and a little time in Discovery Bay. We were going to go watch the Dolphin Show but were too late and the auditorium was full so they closed it off to any newcomers. Marisa did really well too! She enjoys being outside! I tried keep her in the shade most of the time. She really enjoyed the Bird Show! She was all smiles in her stroller. But by the time we got home Marisa was tired of being in her car seat. Below are pictures from our day, enjoy!

Bengal Tiger - The boys didn't want to take a picture with it at first.

Marisa in her stroller during the Bird Show

She was all smiles!

The Bald Eagle - Jon loved it when it came out!

Jon wasn't afraid to get soaking wet in the new water feature!

Nicholas wasn't as daring as Jon but got a little wet

Jon almost got hit in the face with the water!

In the new Russia's Grizzly Coast they had a sand box you could play in and the boys liked the bones inside it!

A Visit From PaPa And Grandma

Papa and Grandma came to visit us this past Sunday to watch Jon's double header for Tball. They spent the whole day with us! They came around 10:30am and we had brunch. Mike made this low calorie egg bake that was really good. Mike and I are trying to lose some of those extra pounds! Than we basically hung out until Jon's game at 5:30pm. It was a nice day out so we spent a lot of it outside. The boys loved playing with PaPa and Daddy outside. Below are some pictures that we took from their visit.

Always have to do a silly face!
