Boys First Day Of School

Jon and Nicholas' first day of school was Tuesday, September 8th! I SO wish we would just start school on the 1st of September and not wait until after Labor Day! The boys don't even get out of school this year until the 15th of June! Any way, I will stop complaining about that....Nicholas is a Kindergartner this year and is in Mrs. Mankowski's class while Jonathan is a 2nd grader in Mrs. Foster's class. She is actually 9 months pregnant right now and due any day now! So Jon will have a substitute teacher until January when Mrs. Foster returns. Below are pics from their first day. Nicholas was SO excited and he is just loving school! I am very thankful that both the boys enjoy school so much. I guess I will have to wait until they are bigger when they probably will not like going to school anymore! Hope you like the pics and I will update on their progress from time to time.

Nicholas is SO excited!

Jon can never stand still for a good picture!

Both my boys!

I told them to get closer and they got really close to each other!

Nicholas eating his B-fast!

Walking up to the bus stop with the neighbors.

Love this pic!

Starting to run for the bus stop!

Nick, Addy, & Jon on the big rock at their bus stop.

Nick and his buddy Nathan. Both started Kindergarten this year.

Getting on the bus.

They are on the Bell bus this year!

Now that both the boys are in school all day it is just me and Marisa! It has been going great so far. She has got a good schedule going and this week we started Gymnastics and tomorrow is ECFE. I am pretty excited. It is strange just having one child with me but I am loving it as well! Hopefully I can keep the house cleaner and get things done now that it is just the two of us!

For the past 3 Summers our neighbor's hold a Spaghetti Dinner on the last day of Summer! This year they invited two more families. It is great getting together with friends and having all the kids play together before their first day of school! I didn't take as many pictures a I would like but here are a few!

Minnesota State Fair 2009

This year we were suppose to go to the MN State Fair when all of Boston Scientific went, but we decided that we would go a different day because we just had too much going on. So me and the boys ended up going on a Wednesday. Marisa stayed home with Lolo and Mike really doesn't like the State Fair because of the crowd so he went to work. We met up with Auntie Missy, Noah and Gen at the clinic and drove to a park and ride. At the Fair we met up with Auntie Marie, TJ and Anthony! It was a lot of fun and we ended up staying there for 7 1/2 hours! The longest we have stayed with the boys! They did a really good job and we got to do some things we never did in the past. Here are some of the pics!

Waiting for the bus at the park and ride.

At the Kid Midway to ride some rides!

They loved this one!

I'm just glad that I didn't have to ride on any of them! I got dizzy just watching them!

One of the favorites!

The swings! Nicholas did really well!

Jon wanted to go with TJ after Nick went on....

They actually go pretty high! I think Jon has a slight fear of heights, but he did it!

Than they wanted to do the bungee/trampoline thingy...

Nick had a ton of fun! He tried to do flips but couldn't get the hang of it!

Video of Nick on the Bungee/Trampoline

Jon's turn!

Again, that slight fear of heights....

But he did it!

Video of Jon

Of course the Giant slide!

Jon too Gen since she was too short to go by herself.

A video of nick and Jon going down the giant slide.

Uncle Larry's Cabin

So now that the boys are both in school (today was their 1st day!) and Marisa is down for her nap, I FINALLY have time to update this blog! So, back in July our family along with Papa and Grandma, and Uncle Doug's family stayed at Uncle Larry's cabin for a week. It was a lot of fun! We went fishing every day and the boys tried knee boarding for the first time! The first day we arrived it was chilly but after that the weather was VERY nice. The boys loved playing in the water and just basically hanging out with the family! Her are some pics! I of course took about 100 pictures and these were my favorites!

Hanging out by the camp fire. We had one going every day!

Family shot minus Mommy!

Grandma and Nick fishing off the dock.

Jon liked to fish by himself.

It looks peaceful doesn't it?

Marisa loved running around with Ashley's fishing pole.

Daddy trying to catch some fish!

Jon loved to jump in the water!

Having some fun with Grandma.

Marisa liked to go on the dock with Papa.

Nicholas jumping off the dock.

We tried to get them to run straight off but they thought it was deeper straight out.

At least he did it!

Jon's turn! He would turn and jump off.

They loved doing this!

Total Summer fun!

Some Boccie Ball!

Marisa liked playing too.

Jon's Northern he caught.

He liked to sit up front when the boat was moving!

Beautiful shot of the lake.

Uncle Larry put in a tire swing. A BIG hit with the kiddos!

Nick and Marisa.

She REALLY liked swinging!

One night Nicholas just crashed on the couch. Jon placed Marisa's baby next to him. He didn't like that when we showed him the pictures!

One of the days Uncle Larry, Aunt Cathy, and Great Grandma came for a few hours.

Nicholas looks like such a big boy in this picture!

I loved this shot of Nick and Ashley on the tire swing!

Ashley eating a watermelon!

Uncle Larry pushing Tommy, Jon and Nick on the tire swing! They LOVED it!

Marisa loved splashing in the lake!

Nick's 1st time knee boarding!

Than he wiped out and this is what he looked like when we got to him. He was yelling, "Don't leave me! Don't leave me!"

Jon's turn! He went 3 times!

Picture of him wiping out!
