Lesson 12 - Storyboard

So I have been gone for a few days up at Mike's Uncles cabin by Battle Lake so I was not able to finish Lessons 12 or 13 last week. I have SO many pictures to blog but thought I would finish up the lessons while I am waiting for laundry to finish. Here are pictures of Nicholas knee boarding for the first time up at the cabin! It was great! Both the boys did it for the first time yesterday and did SO good! I was one proud Mommy! Dad was proud too! Jon had gone first and did really well until he looked to see how far away he was from the cabin and pointed to go back. WE dropped him off and than it was Nicholas' turn. He was doing great too until he wiped out! The last picture is of him when we turned the boat around to get him. Apparently he was screaming as soon as he fell off but Mike and I couldn't hear him until we reached him. All we heard was, "Don't leave me! Don't leave me!" When we did get there he didn't move so Mike had to grab his leg and pull him closer to the boat so he could lift him in! It was SO funny! We were laughing of course but we stopped and told him he did such a good job! He knew exactly what to do, which was float onto his back! Those swimming lessons are paying off! Stay tuned for more pics! I have a lot of them to post!

Lesson 11 - Selective/spot Recoloring

Today's lesson was SO cool I did 4 pictures! I always wanted to know how people did this! Now I know and it was SO easy!

These were flowers taken at our old house in Oakdale right before we moved. I wanted to show the landscapers that I wanted the same type of flowering bush....Never got it...

Here is a picture of Nicholas during an Easter Egg Hunt back a few years ago.

Here is a picture of Marisa last summer towards the end during one of Jon's soccer games. One of my favorite pictures of her!

Jon at the hospital when Marisa was born. Both the boys loved wearing Daddy's Scrub Hat!

Lesson 10 - Start to Finish

Today we did a project from start to finish! I made my own clipping mask, added two textures, used an overlay, added text and than finished it with an edge burn!

This picture was taken back in 2005 when we went to Florida with Mike's Parents. One of my favorite pictures from that vacation!

Vali Hi Drive In

On Saturday night, Auntie Tesa and I took Jon, Nicholas, Maria and Bella to the Drive In! We hadn't been to the Drive in for a while. Last time we went was a couple years ago and I can't even remember what we watched! The movies that were showing were Ice Age 3, Night At The Museum 2, and The Hangover. We had Ashley come over to our house to watch Lorenzo and Marisa. We had dinner at about 5:30 and than we packed the truck up and headed out! The Drive In didn't open until 7pm but I knew that since it was a nice night that we would have to get there early to get a good spot. We told the kids that it would be a couple hours before the actual movie started so we brought along the boys DVD players, a bunch of snacks, and pillows and blankets! So we were all set! We arrived at the drive in to find a supper long line! And it was only 6:45pm! We actually got there at the right time because as soon as we got there, you should have seen how long the line got! As soon as we were able to drive in, we got a pretty good parking spot right next to the concession stand and bathrooms! As soon as we got there we set up the back of the truck so the kids could lay down with their pillow and blankets, while Tesa and I sat outside on chairs. As soon as we were settled we took a look around and there were a lot of people there that knew what they were doing. Behind us there was a group of guys that were part of a movie club and one of them brought patio furniture and another guy even brought a full size gas grill! I have seen people bring little charcoal grills before, but not a full gas grill! It was hilarious! Some people also brought air mattresses for the back of the car to lay on....We will have to do that next time! We ate a lot of snacks and the kids started to watch a movie on the DVD players. After awhile the kids were getting bored besides a couple of them who were glued to the DVD and they noticed that some people brought games to play. I had told the boys to bring their gloves and ball but they didn't want to get them. We will have to remember this next time as well! Any way, it was finally getting dark outside, and cold, so we had them settle back into the truck. It was about 9:30 when the movie finally started! They all did a really good job! I enjoyed it myself even though it got so cold out! Especially since it is $7.50 per adult and kids 12 and under are FREE! Didn't realize this! No wonder why there are so many people that go to the Drive In! We ended up staying for both Ice Age and Night At The Museum! We didn't get back to our house until 1:45, and the boys didn't get in bed until 2am! By far the latest they have stayed up! Here are a few pics! Enjoy!

All settled in back of the truck.

Another view of the truck.

Bells...She is just adorable!

Lesson 8 - Text

Today's lesson was on Text. Just took this picture tonight at Chris and Kellie's BBQ. Mike's cousin Angie (Chris' sister) was in town. She had her daughter Lake with her so it was our first time meeting her! She is just a cutie! Looks like her Daddy I think. I will post more pictures of the BBQ later. Any way, I love how Mike can make Marisa laugh. I snapped a good one!

4th Of July 2009

This year for the 4th of July the McBride family from Oklahoma came to visit us again! We were all SO excited that they decided to join us again for this lovely holiday! They arrived Thursday morning and left Sunday night. It was a great weekend having them here! We did the usual, lots of shopping and hanging out. Friday night everyone came over to our house after a day of shopping at the Albertville Shopping Mall. We had dinner and than the men went out to Treasure Island for some gambling. The ladies and the kids hung out at the house and they even slept over! We had an adult and kids sleep over! The boys just loved that!

Saturday we spent the day at the Ramos'. It was a packed day of fun activities! Of course we played the traditional Wiffle ball. Uncles against the kids. The Uncles this time had to have a drink in one hand at all times. Paul BBQ'd for dinner and shortly after that it was time for sparklers and fireworks! It was a wonderful day spending time with family. Below are some pics! Hope you enjoy!
