Uncomfortable!

Well, we have only 10 more days after today! I am VERY ready for this baby to come out. I have been getting more contractions lately and I am just so uncomfortable! When she moves around it is starting to hurt my lower back even! This is definitely a different pregnancy than the other two, but it may be because I am older too. Good thing this is my last one, right?! I don't know if I had mentioned it before but I will be getting my tubes tied after the c-section. I had always said I could do 4, but since it took longer getting pregnant with this one and with my gestational diabetes I don't think I could do 4 anymore. I only have 2 more appointments with my Doctor! This Wednesday and next week so I am so looking forward to finally meeting this little girl inside me!

This weekend, Mike has been working on getting all of our movies that we have of the kids onto DVDs. We had 8 tapes and we have copied them all onto DVDs. It is actually pretty cool because now we can reuse the tapes instead of buying more. We went 3 years without video taping! Poor Nicholas, didn't get much movie time as Jon did. Now that we have all these tapes I hope to tape him more and Marisa.

I was going through some old video too that we had from our old camera and I wanted to post a couple of Jon. They are just too funny!

I hope you enjoy!

Update on Pregnancy

Well, I just got home from my weekly check up. Earlier this morning I had my first Biophysical Profile Ultrasound (BPP) and a Non Stress Test (NST). Instead of going all the way to Maplewood I was able to go to the Allina Clinic here in Woodbury. Since I had another ultrasound, I asked the Technician to double check the sex of the baby. Mike had asked me to double check as well, because if it was a boy we would have to do a lot of painting in the baby's room! Well, she confirmed its a girl! Her exact words, "It's definitely a girl. I don't think you will have any surprises when she comes out!" So the ultrasound went well and than I had my NST. That went well too. I even had a few contractions while I was hooked up to the machine. After those two appointments I headed out to Maplewood to see my OB. I asked her about the BPA Plastic Bottle news and she told me not to worry about it. I am so glad because I was planning on using the same bottles that we used for the boys! Now I just have to find them. She checked me out and everything was good. Nothing happening to me which she expected. she doesn't think anything is going to happen until she goes in and gets her out. Only 16 more days! Can't wait!

Nicholas' 4th Birthday Party

We celebrated Nicholas' 4th birthday on Saturday. He was SO excited! We went to Club Just Jump! in Woodbury, which is an indoor inflatable playground. It is has a bunch of the huge inflatable slide and jumps! Before we headed out I had to take some pictures of the birthday boy and of course his brother wanted to join in. After that we decided to show him our birthday present. We ended up getting him a bigger bike for this summer. All he said when he saw it was I LOVE IT! After he got a chance to sit on his new bike we headed out to Club Just Jump! Once we got there we waited for our guests to arrive and I took a couple pictures of Nicholas in the Birthday Kid's chair. He was totally hamming it up! The kids had so much fun there and I think some of the adults had just as much fun or maybe even more! Mike and the boys played dodge ball against Uncle Doug and Papa in one of the big jumpers. Than Mike started pushing 4 or more kids down the big slide. Can you tell they were enjoying themselves? At the end of our playtime in the inflatable area, Nicholas got a chance to go into the Money Cube. It was SO cute! I didn't bring my video camera and I wish I had because of how he was trying to grab the money. He ended up getting some money because he was able to exchange the money for some candy. After he was done we took a couple group pictures and than it was time to go into the party room and have cake and ice cream! We sang Happy Birthday and all the kids had cake. All the kids were excited because they got to have cake before lunch! When they were all done we headed back to our house to have pizza. We opened gifts when we got there. Nicholas was so excited to open his gifts. He got a second Guitar for Guitar Hero Wii, a new baseball glove for tee ball, his own Razor Scooter, and many more gifts! Thanks everyone for all the gifts and thanks for celebrating my 4th birthday with me!

Welcome Lorenzo Don Ramos

Paul and Tesa had their baby last night! I was able to witness the amazing event! I was so honored to be there and be able to see the birth of their son Lorenzo Don Ramos! We were all so happy they got their boy! Tesa did really well. The hospital told her to be there at 1:30pm. when she got there they broke her water and she started having contractions soon after that. When I got there about 2:30 they hadn't started pitocin yet but shortly after that they put her on it because she was still at about 1 - 2cm. She was than close to a four and she wanted her epidural. Her nurse asked how her other deliveries were and with Bella as soon as she had her epidural they upped her poticin and went from a 5cm to 10cm in a half hour. The nurse than decided to order her epidural. The Dr. came to check on her and told the nurse to up the pitocin so she did. All of a sudden within a half hour again she was at 8cm - 9cm. She called for the Dr. and was told that she was just starting a c-section! The nurse than lowered the pitocin and Tesa just waited it out until the Dr. was done. By the time the Dr. came she was fully effaced and 10cm. She did a few practice pushes and than with the next 3 contractions she pushed him out. It was SO amazing! The Dr. said that Daddy can announce what they were having and all I remember is someone had yelled out IT'S A BOY! I don't' know if it was Tesa or the nurse, but we were all so happy! Another cool thing they did right after he came out was placing him skin to skin on Tesa for a half hour. They wanted them to have bonding time together. It was so cute! He just looked up at his mommy. After a half hour the nurse brought in the scale and did all her measurements. He weighed 7 lbs. 10.4 oz. and was 20 inches long. After the nurse was done, it was daddy's turn to hold him. Again, all he did was stare up at his daddy. SO adorable! Here are some pics I took while I was there, but you can also look at http://oliviawagnerphoto.blogspot.com/ for more pictures.

Update On Baby Ramos

Well, unfortunately St. John's Hospital could not fit Tesa in today. They were getting a lot of calls from moms-to-be who were going into active labor. So Paul & Tesa have to try again tomorrow. Hopefully they will be able to get her in! I can't believe we have to wait another day!!! At least Lolo said he will take Nicholas with him to the clinic so I can still help Tesa. Stay tuned!

Getting Excited!

Well, it is 1:58am and I got up to go to the bathroom at 12:51am and I couldn't fall back asleep. I'm not sure what is wrong with me, but I had done the same thing the night before. Maybe it is because Tesa told me that I could be in the delivery room with her! Her best friend Kim is sick with the flu so she can't be in the room with her and she asked me to help out. I was in the room when Bella was born, but I was running the video camera and I didn't get to see a whole lot since I was concentrating on getting good video for them. So this time around I will be there holding one of her legs! I am so excited! I am hoping they have a boy! I just got done going through and washing all of our boy clothes sizes 0 - 12 months last night. So I am ready to hand them over! Stay tuned for pics of the new baby!

Update On My Pregnancy

So I went in to see my doctor today and from now on I go in every week. I actually only have 3 more appointments before my scheduled C-section. Everything looked good but now that I am on insulin she wants to start doing non stress tests and ultrasounds each week to make sure the baby is doing OK. Today they just did the non stress test and hooked me up to a monitor. They usually just have you on the monitor for 20 minutes, but since the baby was not active or sleeping they gave it a little jolt and left me on for another 10 minutes. They were looking for movement which they got after the jolt. Basically it was a little tool that she put against my belly and she pushed a button and it made a little noise and vibrated a little bit. She didn't wake up right away, but definitely started moving shortly after that! So next week I will go in again and have my exam, non stress test and ultrasound. I think when I go in for the ultrasound, I am going to ask the technician to just double check for me that it is for sure a girl so we don't have to worry about repainting the baby's room! We will see next week!

What A Nice Day Out!

Yesterday was a nice day out besides that wind! Even though the wind was crazy we went outside to play while Callie was napping. Ace even had fun playing fetch. Nicholas of course loves to ride his four wheeler, but decided to try out Jon's. They both love theirs and Jon is even saving up his own money to by himself a real 4 wheeler! He has about $100 saved up already. After Jon came home from school they pretty much stayed outside, and went over to the Welch residence to play. When Callie finally woke up we walked over there as well, but we didn't stay long because Mommy came to get her. After Daddy came home and we finished dinner (the boys were invited to stay for dinner at the Welch's) we all met outside to play again and the boys played catch with Dad. Mike wants to play catch with Jon every day after school so he can get ready for Tee Ball this summer. His first game in on the 9th of May, so Mike and I will miss his first game. He will probably go with the Welch's. Thank goodness they were put on the same team! He actually has 5 other kids from his Kindergarten class on his team, so he will have a lot of fun! His team name is the Lake Elmo Orioles. Mike gave him his jersey and hat yesterday and he wanted to wear them to school today but I only let him wear his hat. Below are some pictures from yesterday. I hope you enjoying todays weather as well! It is supper nice out today! Still a little windy but not as bad as yesterday.

Marisa's Room

Last night Mike and I finally put the finishing touches on Marisa's room. We hung the Valance that his mom made for us, a couple wall pictures and the Upper Case Living saying that I bought at Missy's party. It was a little tough getting that sucker on, but it turned out really good. Below are some pics of the room. The only thing we need now is a comforter for the twin bed. But those comforters are SO expensive! We are looking for just a plain girl one that doesn't cost more than $50!

Noah's Hockey Game

Last night Noah invited the whole family to watch his hockey game. Missy had showed me some video of his previous games and he is actually pretty good! He only has been skating for a year and this is his first year playing hockey. Below are a couple pics from his game. Missy wanted me to bring my camera because hers doesn't have a big enough zoom. I am not sure what the score was but he did a great job! I know he scored the 1st goal!

Looks like a pro!

Only 29 Days!

Can you believe I only have 29 days left?!?!?!?! I am so excited! I am definitely ready to have this baby. Not only is keeping track of what I eat and giving insulin shots a pain, she moves around SO much! It will be great to finally meet this little girl who has been moving around in my belly. The other day Jon was laying his head on my belly and she was moving a lot. he asked if that was me moving and I told him nope. It was his baby sister. He was so amazed and thought it was so cool. Mike and told him that Daddy has only felt one baby move in my belly and that it was him. Mike thinks its a little freaky so I never asked him if he wanted to feel Nicholas or this one.

I am slowly getting things ready for the baby's arrival. We just got our purchase from Upper Case Living so as soon as we get that up in the Baby's room I promise to take pictures of the room and post them. Plus, Bev made a valance for me and we need to hang that up too. I just bought a curtain rod from target yesterday so hopefully this weekend Mike and I will finish up the Baby's room. I of course bought a curtain rod that had pink in it and Mike in now hoping we for sure have a girl otherwise there will be a lot of corrections he needs to make in that room! LOL!

Only thing I need to do now is go through some baby clothes I got from Tesa's Sister-In-Law Julie and also go through baby clothes for Tesa. I still haven't done that yet, and I think Mike will be getting the bins down for me this weekend so I can wash them and get them ready for her. We are all praying that they will be getting a boy! Tesa's due date is the 11th! So I better get moving. She is not to optimistic about going on time since both of her girls, she had to be induced.

Its Been Awhile

I know I haven't updated this in awhile, so here I go....I have been sleeping better, but I think it is because I am SO tired that I can't really hear anything. The good news is that Mike has agreed to go in for a sleep consult. He actually goes in tomorrow morning. I think it will help him get better sleep. He has been coming home from work so exhausted.

As for my Gestational Diabetes, I now give myself night insulin shots. It actually does not hurt that bad. Poking my finger hurts more than giving myself a shot in the belly. I have been on it for a week and I think it has been helping with my fasting test. I go in again this afternoon so hopefully they will not change anything.

Mike and I went to New Ulm, MN last weekend for the Mixes MN State Bowling tourney. We went last year with our friends the Larson's and we went with them again this year. The boys got to spend the night at Papa and Grandma's house Sat night and we didn't pick them up until Sunday evening. Lisa works for the MN Vikings so she had tickets to the MN Twins game for Sat afternoon so after we dropped off the boys we picked them up at their house in Rogers and headed for the Dome. We were all pretty excited to watch the Twins, and she even had a parking pass so we could park right in the Metrodome parking lot! Once we got in, the Larson's went to get a bite to eat and we told them we were going to find our seats. Mike and I walk down to our isle and there was a man sitting in our seats. We told him that those were our seats and he had to double check his tickets. Mike took his out too and we actually had the same seats! Than he asked if we got them from the Vikings and we told him that our friend works for the Vikings and she got them and will be here in a little bit. Than I started to look at my ticket....Well, I noticed the time first. It said 7:30pm. The game that we were at started at 1:05pm. Than I saw the date! We had the tickets for Friday nights game! Mike and I and the other guy started laughing and we were all surprised we got in! We walked back up and waited for Kris and Lisa. We showed them the tickets and we all started laughing. We decided to stay and find different seats in a different section. I still can't believe we didn't get caught! There was plenty of opportunity for the people who worked for the Dome to notice our tickets. Even as we were checking in, Mike had said that the girls ticket scanner beeped differently and she had to press a button to make it stop. Any way, after awhile Mike was getting antsy (because Bev reminded him that there was a Casino, Jackpot Junction, that was close to New Ulm). So we headed out on the road. We stopped at our hotel first and checked in and headed out to the Casino. We didn't get back to the hotel until about 11:00pm. Our first bowling match was at 9am the next morning so we figured we would get enough sleep. Little did we know that the bed was uncomfy and the pillows sucked! I normally bring our pillows from home, but this time I forgot them. So, we actually did not get the best of sleep. After we had breakfast we headed to the bowling alley. Mike had a rough start, but I actually bowled way past my average. My first game I think had a 166 and the 2nd game I think I bowled a 172. But my luck was about to change. Towards the end of the 2nd game I was starting to get soar in my hip area. I knew the 3rd game would be bad, and it was. I think I ended up bowling a 113. We didn't bowl again until 2:45pm so we went out to Applebee's for lunch. After that we headed back to the bowling alley. Mike did a much better job bowling in the second match. I did OK, but I was still hurting from the the morning game. I can't remember the scores of the afternoon match but we did OK. We will probably do it again next year since it will be in Arden Hills at Flaherty's. Sorry no pics. I didn't bring my camera.
