We're Home!

We are finally home! We had such a great trip to Orlando, Florida! Our flight out was great besides our second landing in Florida (we had to switch planes in Atlanta). I swear the pilot didn't see the ground coming up as fast! Everyone on the plane was surprised about the big bounce we did when we landed! Although the boys thought it was great! LOL! When we landed it was easy because we didn't have to check in anything (Lolo was nice enough to take our luggage with him when he drove down) so we got off the plane and went to baggage claim and waited for Lolo to show up. It was an early morning so Mike and I took naps while Lolo watched the boys. After our naps we went to the grocery store and than Lolo and Lola took us out to dinner.

The next day we went to Cocoa Beach! We left at about 9:30am! At the house there were already some Boogie Boards there (some from the college days and some new ones that the Dehne's purchased the last time they were there). Jon had SO much fun Boogie Boarding! He did not want to come out of the water. Nicholas was scared of the waves at first but after he figured out how to jump and land on his feet he was OK. He tried Boogie Board as well, but one huge wave came and knocked him over and he was all done with that! So him and I built a sand castle. We took breaks here and there, but Jon just wanted to be in the water all day! Of course we made our stop at Ron Jon's Surf Shop. Jon wanted to try the new board that glides on little water so we bought one of those and snorkel gear. We didn't get home until 4:30 or so! It was a great day at the beach!

The next morning we drove to Bonita Springs to stay with Lola Ayette and Lolo Jim. Jim took us out on his pontoon in the ocean on the gulf side. On the way there we saw dolphins! 3 of them at three different times! One of them came really close to the pontoon and swam next to us for a few seconds! That was the highlight of the day! The next day we drove to Fort Myers to watch the Minnesota Twins play against the Florida Marlins. It was such a hot day, poor Lola couldn't sit very long where our seats were (we were out in the sun the whole game) she had to move to find shade. We arrived about an hour before the game to get some autographs, but it was too late for that. We only managed to get one autograph from Joe Nathan. Next time we would have to get there way earlier to get the autographs! The game was great and the Twins were winning 5 to 0. Than the scrubs came in and lost it 5 to 9. We left during the 7th inning because it was so hot out. We did manage to win 2 Bobble Heads! We got a Justin Morneau and a Mike Cuddyer one!

Sunday we went back to Cocoa Beach and it was another great day at the beach. The waves were a little stronger and I was really worried about Jon because the undertow was strong too. But he managed! He was swimming under the waves, jumping over them with no problem! It was a little too rough to Boogie Board but they still had fun. I managed to get some good pictures I think at the beach. We didn't stay as long either because there was a birthday party for Lola at a friend's house and the Shuttle was launching and it was starting to get busy there. So when we got home we rested for a little bit and got ready for the party. It was at an old family friend's house and she had a pool so of course the boys went swimming again! It was too cold for the other little kids but the boys enjoyed it. We all went to the front yard to see the shuttle in the sky after it launched. It was pretty cool to see.

The next day we went to Disney World! The boys were SO excited! We ended up going to Magic Kingdom first and went on a couple rides. Than we took the bus to Hollywood Studios and spent most of the afternoon there. I highly suggest doing the fast pass on their popular rides. We did that and it was a breeze! At Hollywood Studios we had lunch at one of their restaurants and they had Characters from the Disney Chanel there. The boys enjoyed that even though they didn't get to see Mickey. After lunch we went on a few more rides and saw the Indian Jones Stunt show. They thought that was cool! After that we stood in line to make your very own Lite Saber! The boys each made a double Lite Saber! After that we were going to head back to Magic Kingdom for the parade and fireworks but Nicholas was falling asleep on the bus so we decided to go home. The boys did a great job and were well behaved, and they were both so tired that they didn't mind going home when we asked them.

Tuesday was a low key day, we went shopping and played mini golf. We left early again on Wednesday but it was a non stop flight so that was good. Auntie Marie picked us up from the airport and we dropped her off, than we dropped off Lola, and changed into Jeans and left to pick up Marisa. She was so excited to see everyone! I am going to have to post pictures later because I haven't even looked at them yet and I still have to unpack! So stayed tuned!
