Happy New Year!

This year Mike and I decided to keep it low key and make it fun for the boys. Every year the city of Woodbury's Park and Rec Center puts on a New Year's Celebration for kids ages 12 and under at the Bielenberg Sports Center. It starts from 6pm and goes until 9pm. So this year we decided to attend that to see what it was like. There was games, a moonwalk, slides, an obstacle course, mini-golf, bingo, open ice skating, and a Woodbury Skating Club exhibition. We went with our neighbor's the Welch's and all the kids had so much fun. We went out to dinner first at Wendy's and got there about 6:30. As soon as we walked into the building they took off their jackets and ran off. Of course all the boys wanted to do was play in the moon walk and obstacle course. Than Daddy suggested they have a race, so they raced around for a little bit too. You could tell who have been there before because they brought footballs and soccer balls to play with as well. We will have to remember to bring them next year. After a little while they played mini golf. Nicholas wanted to bring his own putter, but we told he couldn't. Our neighbor Paula and her daughter Addy wanted to go ice skating so we joined them. We have never taken the boys skating yet so I was curious to see how they would do especially Jon. I decided not to skate since I haven't skated in a long time and I didn't want to fall and hurt myself while being pregnant (I'm 21 weeks already!) Any way, Jon did really well for his first time! He does pretty good on roller blades so that helped him a lot. Jon and Nicholas took turns skating with Daddy and Nicholas didn't do too well. He had Daddy do all the work. He had fun though! Mike said he would have stayed out there longer but his skates were one size too small. We will have to take them skating again sometime soon because Jon really enjoyed it. After skating we went back into the dome were all the other activities were and they played some more. Before you knew it, it was time to go already! They didn't want to leave, but everything was shutting down. When we got home the Welch's came over for alittle bit to see if we could all stay up until midnight. Around 11pm the decided to go home because everyone was so tired. We all went to bed as well. The boys didn't wake up until 9am the next day! It was so nice that they slept in! Below are some pics, enjoy!
